Goodbye to J.D. Salinger, Howard Zinn and Louis Auchincloss

Famous people die in threes goes the pop culture maxim.  This week we lost three writers.  Two of them were also figures of  significant cultural renown.  As described in each of their New York Times obituaries:

J.D. Salinger, literary recluse, 91

Howard Zinn, historian, 87

Louis Auchincloss, chronicler of New York’s upper crust, 91

Their written works live on at the Tunxis Library. Search our catalog.
