A Confederacy of Dunces – Audio CD Review

A Confederacy of Dunces
By: John Kennedy Toole
Read by: Barrett Whitener
11 CDs – 13 ½ Hours

You probably saw me walking with earphones on and carrying my CD Player and laughing out loud. Here is the most ridiculous novel chronicling the swath cut by Ignatius J. Reilly through New Orleans. A preparation for the efforts of FEMA in its response to Katrina Ignatius destroys businesses and careers in his effort to fight the vendors of obscenity and evil with his self-righteous baloney.

His long suffering mother has sent him to college for a bachelors and a masters so that he could have a fine career. In thanks, Ignatius lies in bed all day filling Big Chief pads with his to be published observations.
Take this book on CD out and enjoy it. You will laugh all through it.

  1. FYI – The library does also have this book in print: PS 3570 .O54 C66 2000.
The audio books are on carts right now, arranged alphabetically by title, near the DVD’s, until we get into our new space.
